Martin Lister (1639-1712) was the great nephew of Sir Matthew Lister (c 1571-1656) of Burwell.
My interest in this family started with Matthew Bancroft Lister (1766-1842), the son of Dymoke Lister (died 1772) and Lydia Bancroft (1743-1792).
Matthew Bancroft Lister married Sophia Bolton. Their daughter Lydia Bolton Lister (1800-1873) married George Jackson, one of the North Reston Jacksons who lived for many years in India.
My interest in the Jacksons started with Henry Forman Jackson (1853-1901) - one of the North Reston Jacksons, and curiosity as to why his middle name was Forman.
